It may be necessary to break an xHA cluster, for example, to troubleshoot issues on each node separately. Whenever you break an xHA cluster, you should verify that all services provided by the new standalone appliance are operational before it re-enters full production.

After breaking up an xHA cluster, only the cluster's active node remains in Micetro. The passive node, which contains identical data to the active node, will need to be reset to its original state before being added back into Micetro.

To break an xHA cluster:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Service management > Appliances.
  2. In the data grid, locate the appliance that is the cluster's active node in the xHA cluster.
  3. Use the Action menu to select Break xHA cluster.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, select Yes.
