If needed, General roles can be excluded from access to the single object.

Note: Specific roles cannot be excluded, because they’re set on single objects. Excluding roles is available for managing (restricting) object access on a case-by-case basis for General roles.

To exclude a role from accessing a specific object:

  1. Open either the DNS, IPAM, or Admin page and select the object in the data grid.
  2. Use either the Action or Row ... menu to select Manage access.
  3. In the dialog, select the General role you want to exclude and use the Row ... menu to select Exclude.
    The Row ... menu in the Manage access dialog provides to the option to Exclude roles from accessing the selected object.
  4. Select Save.

The excluded role will still be displayed in the list, but will be grayed out and struck through.
