Use the Repair xHA cluster function after replacing an appliance in the xHA cluster. The repair function ensures that the replaced appliance has the correct configuration to rejoin the cluster. Before using the repair function, make sure the replacement or repaired appliance is running correctly and that it has the same IP address as the original appliance.
The repair function is only available when an appliance status is Degraded.
To repair an xHA cluster:
- Navigate to .
- Select the xHA cluster members in the data grid.
- Use the Action menu to select Repair xHA cluster.
- In the dialog, review the xHA cluster information and select Yes.
Micetro will attempt to repair the xHA cluster by reapplying the xHA configuration to the degraded node.
Troubleshooting xHA repairs
The repair function may fail for several reasons. Refer to the following possible errors for troubleshooting recommendations:
- Unable to repair xHA cluster because the active node is not operating normally.
- Check your active node to make sure it is up-to-date and running as expected.
- The passive node is unreachable. Both xHA nodes must be reachable to repair the cluster.
- Reestablish communication with the unreachable node before attempting to repair.
