Reconciliation policies let you automatically manage IP address and DNS requests. Depending on whether you want to discover resources on IPv4 or IPv6 networks, you can use the IPv4 Reconciliation Policies page or IPv6 Reconciliation Policies page to view, update, run, or delete current reconciliation policies and add new policies.
To add a new reconciliation policy:
-
From the BlueCat Gateway UI, click Network Discovery on the left sidebar.
A list of available pages is displayed.
-
From this list, select either IPv4 Reconciliation Policies or IPv6 Reconciliation Policies depending on the type of network you want to discover resources on.
Based on your selection, the IPv4 Reconciliation Policies or IPv6 Reconciliation Policies page is displayed.
-
Click Add.
The Add IPv4/IPv6 Reconciliation Policy page is displayed.
-
Enter settings for the new reconciliation policy as appropriate. Some settings are available only with specific Discovery Methods.
For more details, see Policy discovery settings.
-
When you're done, click Save to add the new reconciliation policy and return to the Add IPv4/IPv6 Reconciliation Policy page. The new reconciliation policy is now listed in the table.
Alternatively, click Cancel to return to the IPv4/IPv6 Reconciliation Policy page without adding the new reconciliation policy.
