The Devices page lists the devices that Network Discovery connects to when probing for network resources. When adding or updating a device, you can configure the following attributes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Configuration | The Configuration that contains the device, as specified in Address Manager. |
| Device Name |
The current name of the device. |
| Probe Label |
The Network Boundary for discovery operations. |
| IP addresses | The IPv4 or IPv6 address of the device. |
| SNMP Version | The SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) version used by the device. This can be |
| SNMP Community List | The SNMP community string. Separate items in this list with commas ( |
| SNMP VRF Context List | The list of SNMP VRF (virtual routing and forwarding) contexts to
use during discovery network operations. Separate multiple contexts
with commas ( If left blank, discovery operations will use all VRF contexts in the network. Note: Unless specified by BlueCat support, leave this field
empty. The Network Discovery app will automatically discover
all available VRF contexts in the network.
|
| Skip neighbor discovery | If selected, neighbor discovery operations are skipped. Neighbor discovery protocols let nodes on the same link more easily find neighbors (other nodes and routers on the same network). |
| SNMP Mgmt Context List | A list of SNMP Management VRF contexts to use during neighbor
discovery operations. Separate multiple contexts with commas
( If left blank, discovery operations will discover all neighbor VRFs in the network. Note: Unless specified by BlueCat support, leave this field empty. The
Network Discovery app will automatically discover all available
neighbor VRF contexts in the network.

| SNMP Port | The SNMP port number. |
