Before you begin installation, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:
Software

You must be running BlueCat Address Manager version 9.5 or greater.

The host machines that will be running the BlueCat Gateway instance must have Docker installed.
Hardware

You must have at least 2 CPUs and 8GB of RAM allocated to the host machine that will be running BlueCat Gateway.

You must have at least 50GB of free disk space on the host machine.
Configuration
You must configure the BlueCatGateway UDF and a BlueCat Gateway user on Address Manager. For more information, refer to the Additional Setup section of the BlueCat Gateway Installation Guide.
Network Connectivity
- Ping must be allowed for ping sweep to be performed on network devices.

You must have the following ports open on the host machine:

Time Synchronization
The clock on the host machines that will be running BlueCat Gateway must be synchronized with the clock on the Primary DNS server to facilitate mutual authentication. BlueCat recommends configuring NTP.
User account permissions

To download Network Discovery, you must have a Quay account that has been granted read access to the Network Discovery private repository (
quay.io/bluecat/network_discovery
). If you have not yet created a Quay account, create an account and give your Quay account username to a BlueCat representative to be granted access to the private repository. -
To install and set up Network Discovery, You must have an Address Manager account that the Network Discovery application can use whose User Type is Administrator and Access Type is GUI and API.
