BlueCat Address Manager

You must configure an IPv4 address, netmask, and default gateway to access your virtual Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Server. For more information, refer to the chapter, "Administration Console" in the Address Manager Administration Guide.

To configure an interface with an IPv4 address:

  1. From Main Session mode, type configure interfaces and press ENTER.
    Proteus> configure interfaces
  2. Type modify <interface> and press ENTER.
    Proteus:configure:interfaces> modify eth0
    Available interfaces
    • Address Manager - eth0
    • DNS/DHCP Server - eth0, eth2 (if enabling Dedicated Management), bond0 (bond0 is only available once a bonding interface has been created.)
  3. Type set address <ipv4address/netmask> and press ENTER.
    Proteus:configure:interfaces:eth0> set address
  4. Type save and press ENTER. The Administration Console saves your settings (Address Manager only).
    Proteus:configure:interfaces:eth0> save

    Upon initial configuration, Address Manager restarts after saving interface settings.

  5. Type exit and press ENTER until you return to Main Session Mode.
    Proteus:configure:interfaces:eth0> exit
