In the Authentication section of the system settings, configure authentication methods, including single sign-on (SSO), LDAP integration, and external login providers.
- Single sign-on
- When you select Allow single sign-on and activate it, users do not need to authenticate when logging into Micetro. For more information about single sign-on, refer to External authentication.
- LDAP
- Select Enable LDAP integration to enable LDAP
authentication for Micetro.
For more information about configuring LDAP authentication, refer to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user authentication.
- Local authentication
- Set a minimum password length for all users in Micetro. The default length is 12 characters.
- External authentication
- Select Enable external login providers to allow users to
log into Micetro using credentials from Okta or Azure AD.
The Configure button opens a form in which you can enter the necessary information needed for Okta or Azure AD authentication.
Note: External login providers must be enabled and changes saved before you can configure external authentication in the system settings. For more information, refer to External authentication.If you enable external login providers, select from the following options to determine how login options appear on the Micetro login page:
- Enable both built-in and external login providers
- Hide Micetro user accounts
- Disable internal login methodNote: If you disable the internal login method, make sure that at least one external user is assigned to the Administrator role. Otherwise, you will not be able to administer Micetro.
- Validate signature of external authentication script before running
- This setting ensures the security of the authentication process by confirming
the authenticity of external authentication scripts before executing
them.Note: You need to select Enable external login providers for this setting to take effect.
