Micetro seamlessly integrates with DNS/DHCP server (MDDS) appliances, available in both hardware and virtual machine configuration. By integrating Micetro with appliances, you gain the power to effectively manage services, optimize deployment processes, and oversee day-to-day server operations, all through the intuitive Micetro Web Application.

Once you have configured the initial network settings for your appliance and added it to your services, you can interact with the services just as you would with other DNS and DHCP services within Micetro.

Appliances can be accessed and managed on the Service management tab of the Admin page. Select Appliances in the left sidebar to filter the data grid for appliances.

Viewing zones, scopes, and servers

Micetro enables you to more efficiently manage your appliance by providing direct navigatation to zones, scopes, and DNS/DHCP servers associated with the appliance from the Appliances data grid.

To navigate to zones, scopes, and/or servers associated with your appliance:
  1. Locate the specific appliance in the data grid.
  2. Use either the Action or Row ... menu to select from the options:
    • View zones
    • View scopes
    • View DNS server or View DHCP server

Micetro will direct you to the appropriate page based on your selection.

Viewing appliance history

The View history option on the Action or Row menu opens the History window, which displays a log of all changes that have been made to the appliance, including the following information:

  • Date and time of the change
  • Name of the user who made the change
  • Description of the actions performed
  • Any comments entered by the user when saving changes to objects
