When working with AWS IAM accounts, access keys rotate every 90 days. You can update your credentials for the specified scheduled discovery jobs and restart them using the UI and API without deleting and recreating new jobs.

To update the AWS credentials for a scheduled discovery job
  1. Under Discovery Management, select the checkbox next to one or more discovery jobs.
  2. Click and select Update credentials.
  3. Under Update Credentials, enter the following information:
    • BAM Username: Enter the Address Manager API user.
      Note: This user should be an administrative API user with full permissions.
    • BAM Password: Enter the password for the Address Manager API user.
    • AWS Access Key ID: Enter the updated AWS access key ID.
    • AWS Secret Access Key: Enter the updates associated AWS access key ID.
    • AWS Role ARN: Enter the AWS role assumption ARN. The AWS role ARN must be in the following format: arn:aws:iam::<account_role_number>:role/<role_name>.
      For example:
      arn:aws:iam::987654321098:role/developerRole
  4. When you're done, click Update.

    When you click Update, any scheduled discovery jobs with the status Stopped and Imported are restarted.
