To configure Address Manager Failover:

  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
  2. Under Available Actions, click Failover Configuration.
  3. Add the IP Addresses of your Address Manager one-by-one.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Enter your Trust account credentials, which is used for configuring a trust relationship with up to three Address Managers.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Click Set Base State.
    The system reviews the known state of the configured Address Managers, and stores it locally.
  8. Select Configure Settings.
  9. Configure the failover settings. Refer to Failover settings definitions for details.
  10. Click Save.
After completing the configuration, navigate to Address Manager Failover workflow under Available Actions.
  • If the Primary Address Manager is in a good state, there will be no option to failover to the configured Secondary Address Manager.
  • If the Primary Address Manager is in a downed state, you will have the option to execute failover.
