The Configuration Options section of the AWS Setup page defines how configurations are created in Address Manager upon import of AWS infrastructure data.
Attention: If you update the name of a Configuration or View in Address
Manager after you enable Discovery and Visibility, the Cloud Discovery &
Visibility Adaptive Application will no longer import AWS infrastructure changes
into Address Manager.
Under Configuration Options, enter the following
information:
- AWS Region: Select the AWS region from which you want
to import the AWS infrastructure information.
If you don't see your region in the drop-down menu, you can manually enter the region name.
Note: Currently, this feature supports only AWS region names for US AWS GovCloud and China Cloud regions. Other cloud regions are either not supported at all, or require additional permissions for the Discover to work. - BlueCat Configuration: Enter the name of the
Configuration in Address Manager that contains the AWS infrastructure
information. (You might need to create this Configuration later.) By
default, the name is populated with the selected AWS region.Attention: Configuration names cannot contain forward slash characters ("/"). Doing so can cause issues and errors with Discovery and Visibility of cloud resources.
- Override Configuration: Select this checkbox to create configurations in Address Manager based on the number of virtual private clouds (VPCs) in the AWS infrastructure. Doing so disables the ability to enter information in the BlueCat Configuration field.
