You can export the Cloud Discovery & Visibility database to a local file. When you save the database, you can enter a custom file name and password to encrypt the file.

To export the database:

  1. From the Cloud Discovery & Visibility UI, click in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Export Database. The Export database window opens.
  3. (Optional) Under FILENAME, enter the name of the backup file that you would like to export. If you leave this field empty, the file name is randomly generated.
    Attention: Do not modify the file name once you have saved it locally, as it can cause failures when importing the database.
  4. (Optional) Under PASSWORD, enter a password that will be used to encrypt the database file. If you leave this field empty, the gateway secret key is used to encrypt the file.
  5. Click Export.
Cloud Discovery & Visibility generates the database backup file and downloads it to your browser.
