Configure settings for your DNS/DHCP Server.

Specify the DNS/DHCP Server information needed to establish a connection between DRP and the DNS/DHCP Server appliance.

  1. Under BlueCat DHCP Server(s) Connection Settings, set the following parameters:
    • Server(s)—Click Add and enter the IP address of your DNS/DHCP Server appliance then click Add Item. If you are using:
      • Standalone DNS/DHCP Server—add the physical IP address of the DNS/DHCP Server.
      • xHA—add the virtual IP (VIP) address instead of the physical IP address of each DNS/DHCP Server.
      • Failover—add the physical IP addresses of each DNS/DHCP Server in the failover cluster.
    • Username—enter the username that the DRP server uses to communicate with all DNS/DHCP Server servers. The same username must exist on all DNS/DHCP Servers.
    • Password—enter the password that the DRP server uses to communicate with all DNS/DHCP Server servers. The same password must exist on all DNS/DHCP Servers.
    • Test—click Test to validate if the DRP server can connect to DNS/DHCP Server using settings defined in the above sections. This must be done before proceeding to the next section of the configuration settings.
  2. Click Next.
