The following network data metrics are collected and visualized by the BlueCat Health Monitoring service.
Kernel Connection Tracking Table: The Kernel Connection Tracking Table stores tracking information on DNS/DHCP Server network connections. The percentage provided in the metric data represents the current amount of network connections, compared to the maximum size of the table (i.e. 75% = table is 75% full).
ETH[x] Packets: The following information on packet transmission and reception is
provided for each DNS/DHCP Server interface, measured in packets per reporting interval
(frequency):
Data Type | Definition |
---|---|
Received | The total number of packets received by the interface |
Sent | The total number of packets sent by the interface |
drop_in | The total number of received packets dropped by the interface |
drop_out | The total number of transmitted packets dropped by the interface |
err_in | The total number of receive errors detected by the interface |
err_out | The total number of transmit errors detected by the interface |
Note: Please note the Network metrics pane does not
display all available metric visualizations by default. Packets and bandwith
visualizations for ETH1-ETH3 must be toggled on through the
Customize button.
ETH[x] Bandwidth: The following bandwidth information is provided for each
DNS/DHCP Server interface, measured in kilobytes per reporting interval
(frequency):
Data Type | Definition |
---|---|
Received | The total amount of data in kilobytes received by the interface |
Sent | The total amount of data in kilobytes sent by the interface |
Note: Please note the Network metrics pane does not
display all available metric visualizations by default. Packets and bandwith
visualizations for ETH1-ETH3 must be toggled on through the
Customize button.
