The following features and functionalities are new in BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2

DHCP Statistics

BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 introduces support for DHCP Statistics on v9.4 BlueCat DNS/DHCP Servers. Refer to Reference: DHCP Statistics and Configure DHCP Statistics for BlueCat Health Monitoring for more information.

Docker Stats

Starting in BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2, docker statistics are collected and incorporated into monitored system data metrics. For more information, refer to Reference: Monitored system data.

Server Grouping

BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 introduces the ability to create groups of servers and view consolidated metrics for server groups. Refer to Creating a server group for more information.

Server Agent Upgrader

To assist with the upgrade process, BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 includes a server agent upgrade system. Users will be alerted to DNS/DHCP servers containing the older BlueCat Health Monitoring agent, and can bulk update server agents to v22.2 through the user interface or API. For more information, refer to Upgrading server agents.

Advanced Permission Configuration

BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 introduces an advanced permission system for application administration. Gateway users can be configured to be BlueCat Health Monitoring administrators, and non-administrative users can be granted limited access to view and edit server group information. For more information, refer to Configuring a service account and Configuring view authorization by user group.
Note: A new environment variable has been added to the setup configuration to define BlueCat Health Monitoring administrators, refer to Pre-installation files and environment variables for more information.

Deleting Servers

Starting in BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2, users can now remove servers from the BlueCat Health Monitoring dashboard. The user interface will also indicate servers encountering errors for easy reference and removal. For more information, refer to Removing servers and server groups.

xHA info toggle

To mitigate delays and timeouts when retrieving xHA server objects, BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 introduces the ability to toggle the level of information retrieved for xHA servers. For more information refer to Configuring xHA settings.

Receiver Status

A new page has been added to the BlueCat Health Monitoring v22.2 Administration tab that displays the status of the receiver and lists the DNS/DHCP Servers that it is receiving data from. For more information, refer to Receiver status.

Enhancements to UI

The BlueCat Health Monitoring user interface has been modified in v22.2 to include additional visualizations for system CPU and memory usage on server dashboards. A server connection status has also been added to the user interface, displayed on both the multi-server and individual server dashboards.
