When you set up a staged update with the list of update files and Server Batches, BlueCat Server Update Services (BSUS) will stage (upload) those patch files to each server that is to receive the update — but won't apply them. After the staging is complete, you can apply the patch to the servers in those Server Batches at any time.
To apply the patches from a Staged Update to the servers in its Server Batch:
Go to the Planned Updates tab. (From BlueCat Server Update Services, click Server Updates, then click the Planned Updates tab.)
Select the checkbox for one or more staged updates that you want to apply immediately. (You cannot apply scheduled updates immediately.)
Click the Settings button (
gear icon) and select Apply. The
Apply Staged Updates screen appears.To apply each Server Batch's Customization package (if any) to its servers, click to select the Apply Customization checkbox.
When you're done, click Apply.
On each server in the selected Server Batches, BSUS begins applying the staged updates in the selected order. You can view the patch progress from the Planned Updates tab.
