The Portal Host and Port are used by DNS/DHCP servers to connect with BlueCat Server Update Services (BSUS) for acquiring staging files and Customization packages. When you upload patch files from BSUS to a batch of DNS/DHCP servers, those servers connect to BSUS through this address.

By default, this address is set by the BSUS_IP setting in the .env file when installing BSUS. (For more details, see Installing BlueCat Server Update Services.)

To change the Portal Host and Port:

  1. Click the Administration tab, then click Portal Host and Port

  2. Enter the following:
    • In Portal Server URL, enter the IP address or URL.

BSUS works only with HTTPS addresses. Enter the URL without the protocol, such as bsus.example.org or 10.0.0.1.

    • In Port, enter the port to use for BSUS communications.

  3. To test the URL, click the Test button.

    When you're done, click Update.
