Address Manager will use this setting if you don't configure a DNS server when
adding an IP reconciliation policy.
To add DNS server at the configuration level:
-
Select the Administration tab. Tabs remember the
page you last worked on, so select the tab again to ensure you're on the
Administration page.
-
Under Network, click Reconciliation
Settings.
-
Under Global Parameters, enter a DNS server IP address
in the DNS Server field.
-
Click Add Another to add an IP address of the DNS
server. The IP address will be listed below the DNS
Server field.
-
Under SNMP Parameters, enter your voice VLAN ID and
click Add Another. Acceptable values are integers 1 to
4096.
This parameter is required to recognize access ports in a switch that's used
to generate L2 connection port information for discovered IP addresses. Not
specifying voice VLAN IDs can result in a loss of L2 connection port information
as an access port carrying a client device (desktops/laptops) and IP phone will
be recognized as a trunk port.
-
Click Update.
