Address Manager will use this setting if you don't configure a DNS server when adding an IP reconciliation policy.

To add DNS server at the configuration level:

  1. Select the Administration tab. Tabs remember the page you last worked on, so select the tab again to ensure you're on the Administration page.
  2. Under Network, click Reconciliation Settings.
  3. Under Global Parameters, enter a DNS server IP address in the DNS Server field.
  4. Click Add Another to add an IP address of the DNS server. The IP address will be listed below the DNS Server field.
  5. Under SNMP Parameters, enter your voice VLAN ID and click Add Another. Acceptable values are integers 1 to 4096.
This parameter is required to recognize access ports in a switch that's used to generate L2 connection port information for discovered IP addresses. Not specifying voice VLAN IDs can result in a loss of L2 connection port information as an access port carrying a client device (desktops/laptops) and IP phone will be recognized as a trunk port.
  6. Click Update.
