The following section describes how to provide BlueCat Gateway images, deploy Gateway, and manage the Gateway service on DNS/DHCP Servers.
There are two ways to provide the BlueCat Gateway image:
- Users can provide the address for a cloud or local repository that hosts the Gateway image, as detailed in Configuring Gateway service on a DNS/DHCP Server. Refer to Prerequisites: Pulling BlueCat Gateway images from a cloud or local repository before pulling Gateway images from a cloud or local repository.
- Address Manager v9.5.0 introduces the ability to upload a Gateway image that will be transferred to the DNS/DHCP Server for service deployment, as detailed in Configuring Gateway service on a DNS/DHCP Server. This feature is intended for users with Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Servers that are unable to connect to image repositories. This feature can also be used for deploying custom images to a production environment. Refer to Prerequisites: Uploading BlueCat Gateway images before uploading Gateway images to DNS/DHCP Servers.
