The following section outlines how to add a UDL from the details page of a source object.

Note: A UDL type with a source entity type matching the source object must be created before a UDL can be added from the source object details page.

To add a UDL:

Navigate to the details page for the source object.
Click the New icon above the User-Defined Links table.
Under General, set the following parameter:
- User-defined link type—select a previously created UDL type from the drop-down list.
- Description (optional)—enter the description for the UDL.
Under Link Destination, set the destination entity by locating the object through the Object Type selector or by providing the Object ID:
- Object Type—select the corresponding type and configuration, then select the destination entity from the center drop-down list.
- Object ID—enter the object ID of the destination entity.
Click Add to add the user-defined link and return to the source object details page, Add Next to add the user-defined link and return to a fresh Add User-Defined Link page for the source object, or Cancel to cancel the process without adding the user-defined link.
