You can disable BDDS network redundancy from the Add Server or Replace Server pages in the Address Manager user interface.
However, you must first disable bonding from the BDDS Administration Console and remove the DNS/DHCP Server from Address Manager control before completing the operation from the Address Manager user interface.
You can disable network redundancy when adding an DNS/DHCP Server that previously had network
redundancy enabled, or you can disable network redundancy on an active DNS/DHCP Server by first
disabling the server, then disabling redundancy when replacing the server.
Note: Disabling redundancy may require re-wiring of your network
switch. BlueCat strongly recommends
scheduling a maintenance window for any changes to network
redundancy/port bonding.
Attention: When disabling
Active/Active NIC bonding, you must first disable the 802.3ad
mode from the network switch, then disable
bonding from the Administration Console. This protects against
loss of connectivity with the DNS/DHCP Server.
