Administration Console - BlueCat Address Manager - 9.4.0

Address Manager Administration Guide

Product name
BlueCat Address Manager

This section describes how to configure Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Servers using the command-line interface of their respective Administration Consoles.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, sections in this chapter apply to the Administration Console of both Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Server.

The Administration Console lets you input straightforward commands to configure interface, network, and system settings on your BlueCat appliance or virtual machine. It includes tab completion on all static keywords and dynamic input values, context specific keyword help, consistent configuration operators for entering user configurations, and scripting of configuration operations.

Tip: Removing a DNS/DHCP Server from Address Manager control is found under configure system > set state.

Certain settings, such as backup and database (Address Manager only) and DHCP (DNS/DHCP Server only) must still be configured using Additional Configuration mode. Use the Additional Configuration mode to modify these settings. For more details, refer to Configuring additional options.
