In the event of HTTP or HTTPS misconfiguration, you can reset HTTP service from the Address Manager Administration Console.

Resetting HTTP service will remove all HTTP and HTTPS settings previously configured in the Address Manager user interface and restore standard HTTP access.

To reset HTTP service:

  1. Log in to the Address Manager Administration Console as the administrator. For more information on default login credential for Address Manager, refer to BlueCat default login credentials (you must be authenticated to view this topic).
  2. From Main Session mode, type configure system and press ENTER.
  3. Type reset_http and press ENTER.
Warning: If you have database replication enabled, DO NOT run the reset_http command on the Standby server.
Attention: All HTTPS settings will be erased and reset to standard HTTP access. The Address Manager server will be shutdown temporarily during this reset.
  4. At the warning prompt, type y/Yes and press ENTER.
The Address Manager server shuts down and resets to standard HTTP access. Once the reset is complete and the Address Manager server starts, you can access the Address Manager user interface and reconfigure HTTP or HTTPS settings as necessary.
