Remove an IPv4/IPv6 address and equivalent netmask/prefix.

Available interfaces on Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Server are:
  • Address Manager—eth0, eth1 (network redundancy; hardware appliances only)
  • DNS/DHCP Server—eth0, eth1 (xHA Backbone), eth2 (Dedicated Management), eth3 (hardware appliances only), bond0*, vlan-interface**

*Only available once a bonding interface has been created (port bonding on hardware appliances only).

**Only available when VLAN interfaces have been configured.

Note: Address Manager and DNS/DHCP Server servers require at least one primary address. If there is only one address configured on a server, the Administration Console will not allow you to remove the address. If you are removing the single address on a server to add another address, use the set address command to overwrite the primary address (or add address and set primary for DNS/DHCP Server VLAN configurations).

To remove an IP address:

  1. From Main Session mode, type configure interfaces and press ENTER.
  2. Type modify <interface> and press ENTER.
  3. Type remove address <ipv4|ipv6address/CIDR> and press ENTER.
  4. Type save and press ENTER. The Administration Console saves your settings.
  5. Type exit and press ENTER until you return to Main Session mode.
The IP address will no longer be available.
